AIR PURIFIER FUNCTION
This portable air conditioner is equipped with a HEPA air purification mode. This mode is only available when
the HEPA air filter has been inserted into the Air Filter Holder. Please note, when the air filter is inserted into
the air cleaner, the unit will ONLY operate in air purifier mode. All other modes are not available when this
mode is selected.
To Operate Air Purifier Mode:
1. Disconnect the exhaust hose from the back of the air conditioner.
2. Remove the HEPA air filter from the storage compartment on the unit and the plastic packaging.
3. Remove the Air Filter Holder located on the back of the unit.
4. Place the air filter inside the Holder. Make sure the air filter is placed on top of
the black plastic particulate
filter located inside the holder.
5. Once the air filter is installed, replace the Air Filter Holder on the back of the unit.
6. Turn the unit on by pressing either the POWER button (on the remote or control panel) or the PURIFY
button on the control panel. The icon will light up on the multi-color display when the air purifier
mode is selected.
7. Once the unit is in Air Purifier Mode, all the other functions will be disabled except the SWING, Fan
Speed, and TIMER functions (see page 15 for the TIMER function).
8. To operate the unit in A/C, fan, heater, or dehumidifier mode, remove the air filter from the Air Filter
Holder and place the holder (with the particulate filter installed) in the back of the unit.
9. When not using the HEPA air filter, place it in the Air Filter Storage located on the front of the unit.
Replacing the HEPA Filter:
When the HEPA filter needs to be replaced the icon will flash on and off
on the display panel when in the unit is operating in Air Purifier Mode.
